Those are my goldies. I need some name suggestions! I checked their gills, and I'm pretty sure they're both female. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the males are the ones who develop the white dots on their gills, right? Well, I was thinking about Bonnie and Claudia (Get it?) But I don't want to be unoriginal.

Those are great photos, alyssaa. I like the names you picked already, too.

(Try to get those into at least a 10 gallon right away. One gallon isn't quite enough for even a single baby goldfish, even temporarily.)

Actually, those goldies are way too young to tell what gender they are. You generally can't tell until they're over a year old, and I'm guessing those two aren't more than a couple months old. They are adorable though!

Hey alyssa!
You have two very cute goldfish right there! But they are far too young to determine whether they are male or female. I would pick unisex names for now so that when they are older you won't have to change them. :)
It is very, very important that you get your goldfish into a larger tank as soon as possible. Baby goldfish are like human babies - they grow super fast in their first year. A baby goldfish can grow up to 2 inches in a month! If their tank is too small, goldfish can become stunted and get very sick.
Your goldfish are "common" goldfish, a type that grows very large. At three years old they can be over a foot long! They will eventually need at least a 75 gallon tank. But for now, it's okay to start with a 10 gallon and move them as you find/can afford larger tanks.
