ok this guy at work is changing from FW to SW and said that the pet store don't want his 3 bala sharks and 1 10" common pleco. so he was going to flush them the bala's are about 4 inches. i have a 55 (which i know isn't big enough for pleco's, but hmmm toilet or a cramped space) i need some bala shark info i don't have but 4 tetra's and 2 clown loaches and 2 puffers in the tank now, oh yes and a pleco (baby) so please soon give me some advise cause i have to tell him tomorrow yes or no thanks ppl's

Try another pet store. If you call a pet store and say "Would you like free fish", they normally take them. Even the big pleco.

one petstore in my city, no they don't want them. should i not try to keep them?????

You only have one pet store in your area period? I'd try any mom and pop place I could find and then check with larger stores like Petsmart or Petco or even Wal-mart.

one petstore, our walmart doesn't even sell fish, it's a college town with a toal pop. of 30,000 and no petsmarts or petco, have to drive about 40 miles for that,

say yes... those fish sound awesome... if not big... but id buy a new tank to hold them until you can sell them or whatnot
where do you live? someone here might want the fish!

Put an ad for the free fish in the For Sale area here. Make sure you note where you are located.

I doubt he would even be able to flush a 10" pleco. I'd make a comment about size relation to . . .whatever . . . but I think you get the general idea :)

if i were you i'd but them in temporarily- but if you can get a divider for your tank so your tetras and puffers can be safe or else lots of little tiny spaces they can get away in- how big are your tetras and loaches- are your puffers the tiny tiny kind?

I don't know what town you live in, but go online to Craigslist.org. Post an ad in the nearest city's pet and/or free sections and you'll rehome those babies in a heartbeat even if people have to drive a while to pick them up from you. Definitely get them from the guy and give them a temporary home if you can.
Good luck,
Mary.
