her anal tube is down, i read somewhere that this is a good thing for breeding, but they are only very small. So i'm thinking maybe after I introduced the green severums it sparked them off. Can give some info please ^_^

I don't think there is a problem. Your specs say that they are supposed to be 2-2.5 in. They look a bit bigger in the picture. 2.5 in is a bit small for breeding but who knows... Mine started laying eggs when they were around 4-4.5 in. They were unsuccessfull but after 7-8 tries they figured it out. Do you keep them together with the gold fish(saw it in your tank specs)? Sevs like 74-80 F and the gold fish needs cooler temperatures....

yes i do, the tank specs are very old so i must update them ^_^

the goldfish doesn't seem to mind, he was just used in the cycling the tank and he has been tank mates for a long time. I am not using any heating at the moment because the whether has been quite hot, so it sits between 20-25'C. They are about 3-3.5" i'd say. I have been keeping them on lots of bloodworm, and because of the upgrade from 35gal to ~170gal they have shot up. But this would be loving? I notice they keep good distance for a while and when they come together they are doing the lock jaw. I've seen this part of synspillums mating and when oscars fight, so was confused.

I will update my tank specs soon!!

EDIT: Updated!!! dithers like platy's and danio's come and go without warning when someone decides to get a bit angry and attack... -_-
