Help me with a center piece fish.

I love my opaline gourami. Theyre a really pretty fish.
The only problem I have is that it picks on my cory catfish a lot. It could be because the cory cat was added after the gourami though. Good luck!

A pearl gourami would look great as a centerpiece fish. They are very peaceful as well.

I know friendorfoe was asking about a single centerpiece fish and the overwhelming recommendation was for a single pearl gourami. Is it recommended to get keep just one pearl or can more than one be kept without running into trouble?

It depends entirely upon the fish. if you are lucky enough to get a famel and a male, it can work out. Just remember, they are anabantids (like a betta) and can be aggressive toward their own family of related species.
