My blue rams just layed eggs last night and are now guarding them. everything was fine until this morning. Now they are beating the ****e out of my dwarf gouramis. What should I do? I don't want to loose my gouramis. Should I take the eggs out? would the rams chill out if they had no eggs to guard or if the eggs were in a fry basket? What should I do? Please help Asap.

What size tank are they in? Do you have other tanks to put the gouramis into?

In my experiance (other people say different) I prefer to keep the eggs in with the parents, as they take care of them, eat the unfertalized ones, thus reducing the possibility of a fungus breakout.

Maybe set up some visual barriers, decorative rocks, plants.. something the rams can use to identify territory.
