Help! My Koi are Turning redish!

I'm guessing that the Koi gurus are going to need a little more info.
1. What are the current water parameters?
2. How many koi? How big a pond? How big are the koi?
3. Any signs of rot or fin problems?
4. Pictures of the koi in question?
I am not qualified to make a diagnosis on koi, but I'm not bad with goldfish. The reddish color in goldfish can suggest ammonia toxicity, among other things, or septicemia. I'm pretty sure that if you post some of the information above, the real pond people will be able to help you, pronto!

ok The pond is 600 gallons+ i have one shubunkin 10" one koi 10" and 4 koi that are 4-5 inches and a half dozen small gold.
i had the water tested at my local fish store they stated that the trace of nitrites. that was after my first water change that was a week ago i did another water a couple days ago that they just seem to be getting worse
here are some pics of the big ones it seems to have affected them the most.

Hmmm...What about the ammonia and nitrate? What test kit did they use? Have your water company test the tapwater for you and buy your own API liquid test kit. Did you use dechlorinator?
Your fish have hemorrhagic septicemia. Do you have a spare tank where to place them for the time being? Treat them there with Maracyn and Maracyn 2 combination.

there is no chlorine in the water i use well water and they have always been healthy until this happened i am not sure what the fish store used it is an independently owned fish store and fish are their major business they dont do alot with garden ponds but they do test the water they only found slightly elevated nitrites no amonia problems.
Also more fish are infected can i just treat the pond will it kill my plants and is it likely they will recover.

What plants do you have? The problem with antibiotics is they bind with organic matter thus rendering most meds useless. Antibiotics also kill beneficial bacteria responsible for the nitrogen cycle.
Whew. Thought I might have made a bad call to start with. If Lupin says it's septicemia, that's what it is. They are beautiful koi. I hope that you will be able to treat them quickly and that they will have a quick recovery.
