Yeah that’s what I’m trying to do, I did 2 75% water changes today and I am hoping the tank will be decently clear by tomorrow. Should I buy an aqua clear70 in conjunction with my top fin filter which is kinda crappy I will attach a pic in a minute

A better filter may help with water clarity, and circulation but there’s no substitute for water changes. Filters do nothing for nitrates

the fish are all doing ok still they have faded color cause of stress but no shock I’m planning on doing a clean every 2 hours tomorrow to slowly remove all the debris on the bottom for today I’m calling it quits and taking a step back to think of what I need to do For the rest of the coming weeks. I’m planning on doing some work at my house to make more money so I can hopefully afford a big amount of plants (probably like 90$ worth)

+1 all a filter does is pump water and mechanically filter unless you do some crazy anoxic thing which can fail the best filter setup I think is a coarse media like sponge then a fine sponge then a thin floss pad then a liberal amount of bio balls in a basket with an anoxic layer underneath and then pothos roots at the very top

Power heads can do anything filters can honestly and i Might buy a cheap crappy one if I can’t fix the cheap crappy one I have that pumps water inverted

I would just do a 50-60% WC tomorrow and use a fine net to gather as much gunk as possible. Then let the filters do the rest and clean them with tank water once a day until you see that they’re not getting much. But stir things up before doing that WC
