Heylo! Now that I got my tanks setup after my move to a new home, I went out and bought some fishies - 1 neon dwarf gourami and 2 angelfish..

Now, I have a pair of everything! :headbang2:
pair of
-killifish
-angelfish
-neon dwarf gouramis

However, I do not know the gender of each fish. Since the fish moved to fast for me to take pictures, I took videos instead. Hopefully they will be clear enough. :headshake2:

- I would like to know the gender of every fish I currently have.

- Also, for the killifish, I had the scientific name of them but i lost the name with the bag so now, I do not know how to setup the tank for their natural breeding habitat. I need to know the name because I know different species of killies breed differently. So if anyone could figure out what kind of killies they are, that would be greatly appreciated. :)

- Could anyone tell me if the angels I have are good quality or not? :)

Thanks a bunch! :grinyes:

There are no visible differences between the male and female. Only at spawing will you be able to tell the male from the female. A female has a round "tear-drop" shaped breeding tube and a male has a cone shaped breeding tube.

nice angels, lovely fish, but i recoment to get a school of 6 and grow them together, and they will pair up on their own

For dwarf gouramis, females are silvery in color but due to Law of Supply and Demand, not many females are available. It is likely all dwarf gouramis sold are males. The Asian fish farms feed them with foods laced with hormones to change their sexes which is very unfortunate as it also shortens their lifespan by making them very vulnerable to diseases.

The easiest way to get a pair of angelfish is to get 5-6 juveniles and let them pair off. It is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to tell the difference between a male and female angel unless they're spawning. The fish, however, don't seem to have that problem.

what about the gouramis , both are male? how, the colors are more vibrant on one than the other

ok

and also, what kind of angels do i have? one of them are gold i think and the other one would be...
