HELP!! new mudskipper owner

ya, some petstore employees just a quick sale, or just plain dont know what there talking about

some of the best skipper keepers have already responded here, just post any question you have and you'll get a good answer ;)

How long do you think they will last in my lame set up? Gotta wait till I have money. Anyway tried feeding mealworms and they're not even interested...

Don't feed them live mealworms. You can get frozen bloodworms for about $4.00 at the petstore or pinhead crickets will work too.
I would look on Craigslist in your area for an inexpensive setup.

They love live food. Not as a strict diet but crickets and wingless fruitflys are yummy. Mine like anything that flys but mine are pretty large.

I had a few in a 20 gallon long years ago...thinking back, it was probably too small. It was a simple setup with an internal filter submerged on the right side of my tank where I had the water.

I ran the outflow pipe from the filter under the gravel and play sand and came out on the other side where it was land only. I laid out some pebbles along the path of the return water to try and make it look like a river.

I used brackish water with Kent Marine Salt Mix, added a submersible heater, and fed them bloodworms, silversides, and guppies. That was really about it.

I did not find them hard to maintain but I'm sure they would have been much happier in a tank like Jackiomy has set up...that tank is unbelievable.

How much skippers did you have

massive fail soo farrr...still not eating nothing..

do you think the set up has anything to do with it

Maybe try to bring it back to the store, and then try again when you're ready. I think your girlfriend would be more upset if it died, than if she didn't have it at all.
