Long story short I just received a tank today from a friend who is leaving the country. Totally unexpected but now its sitting here. It's a 55 gallon with a 75 gallon Rena Canister filter. I personally think theres too many fish in there maybe you can help. He told me they were all Cichlids and one pleco. If you could help ID them that would be wonderful. I dont have my camera at the moment so please dont mind the cellphone pictures.

Also I dont have a testing kit to test the water qualities but its has 50% of the or orignal water. The temperature is a steady 77 Degrees F. Anything else I should know or do? I do believe he gave me everything I needed

:help:

*Edit*
2 Red ones
2 Yellow ones
1 Big Yellow Blue one
1 Pleco
2 Zebra striped kinda..
1 Black Greyish

i don't think its over stock, til i saw the last pic.Maybe if you can lose that fish in the left on the last pic you could add some more if you more hiding spots.Nice chiclids by the way

I would return the 2 giant ones. The yellow cichlids look like Yellow Lab Cichlids, they're pretty good for a community cichlid tank.

I agree with DAVIDFBT, the yellows are Lab Cichlids and they're mbunas, the big ones should be returned, the greenish faced (1st pic) one looks like a green terror.

If they are getting along, I would keep them.
