Help: Odd Substance on ADF's Foot, Should I be concerned?

I noticed this afternoon that my female ADF had this odd whitish substance stuck to her foot. Figuring it was just her shedding, I left it alone. But tonight it's still there so I'm a big concerned. This is what it looks like:

Any ideas? It still might be shedding but it got stuck on her foot. Should I try to remove it? She definitely seems to be favoring that side (doesn't use at much as she moves around, whatever it is seems to be impairing her ability to swim with that foot)

Thanks all.

Not sure but it looks like it may be a fungus or something. I don't know anything about ADF's though so maybe someone with more knowledge can answer.

The only other animals in the tank is another ADF. They're in my 10g that I was using when I had to cycle my 15gallon

I had 2 frogs in the past (probably about 1.5yr ago) that I think died from Chytid fungus. Never confirmed it, but all the signs were there.

That being said, I was under the assumption that Chytid needed to be introduced into the tank (e.g. on a sick frog). I've had these 2 frogs for over a year and I got them from someone who was breeding them with the purpose of offering disease free ADF (since so many stores were carrying infected ones), so they definitely did not come in contact with Chytid before I got them. I've made no new additions to the tank (besides the ramshorns from MSJ, which I'm sure were clean) in 4 or 5 months. And she's not showing any of the signs of chytid other than the weird skin peeling - no discolored skin, though, and (what I understand to be one of the most typical signs of Chytid) she's not hovering around the surface.

Hopefully it's not that b/c it's pretty much a death sentence for both frogs.

Normal table salt MSJ?

Normal table salt is fine. And you are correct, it would have had to have been introduced. I had adf's get these secondary little funguses before and recover completely. You can also spot treat wiht an ointment, i will look up what is frog safe for you and post in the thread.

Also, what is the temp? If its high 70's, you can try droppign it a few degrees to help prevent the spread of hte fungus. As to what ointment, i can't find that info but I do know that you can use methylene blue on a qtip to swab it and that may help. As with any critter, clean water is a great remedy as well. I think the salt and clean water would likely do it for your frog. It looks to be in good body condition. Is it still eating well?

Edit: also, if its having a difficult time reaching the surface because of its injury, lower the water line to make this easier for the frog or you can isolate it in a shallow container to reduce its struggles to reach air.

there isn't a heater in the tank so the temp is already in the low 70s (hadn't planned on having them in the separate tank this long but had some issues with my 15g).

I did a large water change last night when I saw it wasn't going away. I'll keep up with the wc's and add some salt to the tank. as far as I can tell she's eating just fine

methylene blue? can I find that at CVS? only thing I've ever used it for is for biology experiments lol

I don't know if you can find it at drug stores, but they sell it at fish stores. Its used to prevent fungus in fish eggs.
