Help! Plants!!!!

I just got new plants from the fresh water river next to my house and put them in my 20 gallon tank, do you think this is safe? please help~

Is this a stocked tank, or a new one? Did you do anything to clean the plants (e.g. bleach dip)? Can you post pictures, or at least a description, of these plants? It is generally not advisable to take anything (plant, fish, rock, whatever) from outside and just put it in your tank without any sort of quarantine or treatment.
