The first looks like a bandtail puffer (atlantic puffer), the second is a type of scorpion fish. Be weary of him, he has poisonous spines and will spend 95% of his time in the substrate. He will wait until anything that will fit in his mouth gets in front of him and will eat it.

might you know what kind of scorpian fish it is? or how much its worth as well as the puffer? might anyone know this?

If you could give us a better idea as to where you caught the fish it will help with an id. You should also make sure that you aren't violating any local regs or laws by catching fish keeping them in a tank. Oh, and lots of the scorpions get rather large. You should also be VERY carefull whom you sell it to if you decide to do that as they are toxic and have a huge tendancy to get tangled in nets. Their poison is release by pressure and the best treatment is very warm water as it does denature the poison somewhat. As another poster stated it can and shall eat anything that fits in it's mouth.
It's great that you saved it from the kids but, is usually a pretty bad idea to add an unknown fish to your tank. Same goes for the puffer.
I'm not trying to be ugly but, please don't put yourself into an emergency situation.

i understand what your saying, the fish was caught by these kids in rather shallow area. They were dragging it around as if it were a dog and i figured if they let it go it would have most likely died. So i took it. Also i have just gotten the tank therefore i have like 3 fish in total in there including the puffer the scorpian and the other fish you see int he picture. If i were to sell it it would be to a aquarium shop. Now anyone else might have any ideas on these fish id?

I think that it's scorpaena plumieri.

Oh and they get about 1.5 ft long and tend to be pretty messy eaters. As the other poster stated they will eat anything that fits in their mouth so I limit them to large pred tanks "200 gallons +/- ." Pretty cool if you can give them what they want. As to price I wouldn't have the foggiest idea I think that you'd have to have a live fish cert in FL before you could legally sell it anyway.
