Help please - Neons and Bumblebee Goby....Good mix??

Rummynose Tetras go great with neons. The 2 of them together create a small explosion of awesome color. You could also try Columbian Tetras, at first look, they seem like nothing special, but get them under good light, and really look at them when they get comfy in the tank, amazing color, I think.

How big do you think?

I live in Australia so could you please put the sizes in litres and metres. or put a conversion table

....thanks for you help

Grab a few neons, a few harlequin rasboras and a betta. All small, all colorful! A 60 liter tank is a standard size in Europe, should be available to you also.

Sorry I don't have the conversions, but a tank at least 10-20 gallons would be best if you're just starting out. I have been keeping fish for several years (by far no expert, but I'm working on it!) Anyhow, I have a tank your size for a betta and it has been by far the most tricky to deal with!! The conditions in the tank are not as stable as bigger tanks, water changes have to precise, etc. Also, other than a betta, a tank that small is not really ideal for anything, some will even argue that a betta should be kept in a tank bigger than that. If you can get a bigger tank, you could go for a school of neons, I have 12 myself (in a bigger tank) and they're very pretty when they school around the tank together!!
Good luck!
P.S. if you can't get a bigger tank have you considered a betta? They are very pretty and have alot of personality, the one I got a few months ago is my first, but definately not the last :D

Almost all of the above suggestions are inappropriate for a tank that small. We are talking less than 5 gallons here folks. Maybe 4 neons and a betta, or 4 neons and a cory or 2 but not 2 types of schooling fish.

That's why I also told him to go get a 60l tank.

Whoa I completely forgot how big this tank was
Silly me :o
Yeah, scratch my other suggestions. You'd need at least a 10G for them.
Thank you Karnaaj for pointing that out! :)

I think even 4 neons and a betta or 4 neons and a cory are still too much for a 3 gallon tank, plus corys should be kept in schools.

You have somewhere between a 10-12 (3 gallons) litre tank which is very small. You should probably limit yourself to about 3 neons and a Cory or an otto.

Trying to do cheap conversions you want about 2.5cm of fish per 3-4 litres of fish (close estimate on 1" per gallon).

You may want to look into something larger. The larger the tank the more stable the water will be as long as you do not overstock. You may want to look into something 40 litres or higher. With a 40 you are still limited on the size and quantity but you can get more than you can now.

A Betta and a Cory would be good for the tank you have now.

I dont think thats a good mix but u should convert to a 12 gallon hexagon and get turtels and newts they really make great friends. They will eventually breed and make newtles. Which then evolve into the Poke' Mon Charichu. Then it will Dominate and take over the world. Thanx for ruinin it for us u BIG jerk
