right, 4 of those fish are a bit much for a 30 gallon tank..... I would say 2 would be ok, still stretching the limits but far better than it is now. Them being less active during the day may just be how they are, it's how my oranda's are.... once night falls, they are dancing in the water. I wouldn't worry about it..... but you might want to start practicing chanfging the water in the tank..... 4 goldies that size will need a lot a lot a lot of maintenance to keep the water clean.
