help. question

what would you suggest?
I would suggest returning all your remaining fish and start cycling. While it's cycling, do your research as far as what kind of fish can tolerate the conditions you'll be putting them in.

btw, how can i test the nitrates and others, if i dont have equipment available. even the stores here dont sell those kits. and i really dont have that much money to spend since im only a student in college

I have no idea how to test it without the kits you may be able to find it at your college maybe...
we dont have equipment for testin nitrates but what we have are the old school types where in we test the water through chemical reactions and i think my school wont allow me to get some chemicals to test my tank water. hehehe! and when i checked the chemicals in stores, they are quite expensive

I hate to be blunt and I hate that this comes across as rude but fish keeping can be a bit of an expensive hobby. If you can't afford to properly care for your fish, maybe you should look into a different hobby.
In my opinions, there are two things you should spend the money on. Test kit and filtration.
There's another member here that lives in the Phillipines (i'm not quite sure exactly where) His screen name is Lupin and he might be able to help you figure out how/where to get the necessary equipment.
