Can anyone tell me what this is? I was cleaning my aquarium and when i saw the back of the background i saw some sort of eggs and just don't know how they could have ever gotten there.

I've 4 guppies (3 females 1 male) 4 zebra danios (don't really know how many F and M) and 4 mollies (3F 1M) and a couple of ghost shrimp.

I doubt they are danios eggs cause how could have they gotten there?

There's also some type of worm really small like white hairs on top of the egg line that are kind of moving (alive I mean) you can see something on the picture but they are waaay too small.

Heres some picture too.

Any ideas how they could have ever gotten there?

When will they hatch?

Thanks! I was worried they would be some type of fungus or something of that sort.

Yes Danios are eggs scatterers but those eggs are not scattered all over the tank. Danios release their eggs near the water surface and all the other occupants would eat them before they reached the tank bottom. Looks like those eggs were placed there. Time will tell I guess.

Looks almost like a plaque of snail eggs. No snails? I've seen cories lay eggs like those. Any cories? My Zebra danios have spawned many times and never looked like that.

Definitely not danio eggs. They scatter thiers in the gravel, they don't attach them to anything.

Is it possible you have a snail in there somewhere ? Mollies and guppies are livebearers and shrimp carry thier eggs until they hatch. Apparently you've got something in there that you don't know about.

I do have a snail (apple snail) but I removed it from this tank cause he was eating all my plants, but he hasn't been there for about 2 weeks now...

Also, I just found a really small snail today, but he doesn't look like the one i had there, maybe he got in with a plant or something...

I think im going to remove all the eggs cause I really dont want any snail, and nope they are not danios' eggs, they only female gave birth about a week ago.

THANKS!

It may just be the picture, but they look too big to be danio eggs, the mollies and guppies are livebearers, the ghost shrimp don't lay eggs like that... I don't think they are from the apple snail either... so I would say they are mystery eggs. If I were you I'd let them hatch just to see what they are... if they do turn out to be snails... use a product called "had a snail" which will kill them all off quite effectively. Of course then you have to clean the tank to keep the extra bio-load from mini-cycling the tank.
