Help test kit symbol

Could you tell me how to read this?
I've never seen this symbol before. It looks like a cross between a degree symbol and an Ohm symbol,
but thats a not a degree sign and I don't know what the d stands for. I'd like to know ppm:

I don't think this a parts per milliliter scale....My Japanese is good, but lost on scientific jargon.

are these quick test strips? i would check out liquid test kits. they are a lot more accurate.

Yes they are, all they had at the home depot here in Saku city.

Ditch the test strips, even if you read them right they're usually not accurate so it doesn't matter.
