Okay, so I just planted my first planted tank this week. I'm doing something right because the lloydiella is growing like crazy - at least 3 inches since Tuesday!

It's going to need a trim at water change time - how do I go about doing this? At what point on the plant do I cut? Diagonal cut? Straight cut? I'd like to keep the trimmings and plant them back into the gravel to fill in the back of the tank more.

Also, the melon sword is sprouting several new leaves - can I cut out the taller leaves to create a bushier plant?

Any advice is appreciated!
