HELP!! unidentified BUG things and dead fish

in my 55gl tank i have a trigger and a lawnmower blenny with liverock and 2 hermits. every since i bought hte trigger hes been hiding behind hte liverock above the bubbles. when he comes out i noticed spots on him. didnt know if it was bubbles or ich so i kept an eye on him. i noticed one day it definitly wasnt bubbles so i bought a organic reef safe ich medicine and raised the tank to 82 degrees to get rid of the ich. after 2 days of treatment the trigger died and the blenny looks bad and definitly isnt making it through the night.
there is also some small bug looking things running around hte floor of hte tank. there was only a few but after 3 days there are a bunch and there getting bigger. it looks like lice or something. could this be the problem? what the hell are they. there too small to take a picture of.
i also notice very small snails about hte same size as them. how come the fish are dying but the hermits or baby snails or the tiny featherduster on my rock is just fine?
AND WHAT THE HELL ARE THESE LITTLE BUGS? PLEASE HELP!
 
how long has this tank been set up the "bugs" could be cepepods that are GOOD for the tank and fish. Snails are also good, the "feather duster" might be aptasia which you DONT want in the tank try to take a pic of it so we could id it and tell you wether or not to kill it, if it is aptasia blasting it with hot water should kill it in place, I would of not gotten a trigger for such a small tank as they need lots of swimming space(although that is not an issue now) I would try running some carbon to take out any meds that you might still have in the tank along with doing a large water change. Test the water for 0AMO 0 ITES and about 5-10ATES with a SG of .025 and a temp around 78-80 and let us know how it goes.

did about a 35% water change. nitrates 0, nitrites 0 , ammonia 0, SG was around .030 then after the change fell to .020. i added some salt i mixed in a seperate bucket and it stabalized at about .023
 
forgot. also put in 1 new carbon filter because thats all i had. i almost positive the feather duster is a real feather duster and not an aptasia. doesnt look like ti at all. just looks like a midget feather duster.
 
I was going to post a response, but am way late for bed. I checked the archives and I strongly recommend reading the post on ich. Sounds like you've ID'd a featherduster, lots of copepods... and other stuff that lends itself to a really healthy ecosystem. It's always been my personal choice to get rid of ich... and then there's no frustration of watching dying fish instead of the marvels of the the other great things you see unfolding. HTH! :)
 
Sorry to be hearing of the fish dieing...its always sad to hear about it...

I am always a stickler for dealing with ich in a QT tank, they can be picked up very cheaply from ebay or craigslist..

As already mentioned, running the activate carbon will be good to get the meds removed from the water column..if you have a UV, get it running and kill any free swimmers left over...and we shall keep our fingers crossed for the blenny...

i think the ID's are pretty nailed here by SHK_ATKL and FISH WHISPERER, but a photo for confirmation of the feather duster would be a good idea if possible..

teh other things that are surviving is mainly due to the fact that they are not succesptable to marin ich, or not succeptable to a level that can have a negative effect...
