I have several sword plants in my tank for almost one year now. They were grown in pots from the fish store. I kept them in same pots in my old tank until recently planted directly into the gravel substrate in my new tank but growth has been slow and seems not to work - some of them melt with no new roots and soots from the rhizome. I heard that this plant should have its base rhizome covered (as originally covered with old filter media materials planted in pots). Is it correct to still cover the rhizome base when plant directly into the substrate? Apologize to post so many questions in different topics - hopefully you understand how we feel as a beginner.
