We have a 29 gallon saltwater tank. It's been set up probably about 8 months now. It seems to be growing some black furry looking stuff that I assume must be some kind of algae. It's not all over just in some sections. We don't usually worry about algae (believe me there's plenty) because the 2 starfish eat algae. We're just wondering if it's normal, if it's bad...? In addition to the 2 starfish there are 2 clownfish, 2 marine cats, 2 feather dusters and several very, very small various anemones that came attached to some of the pieces of live rock and 1 piece of coral. We also have several small turbo snails and blue leg hermit crabs and some kind of purple mushrooms. If anyone can help, I woul appreciate it. Also if anyone know what my puple mushrooms are that would be helpful too. As an afterthought maybe I should tell you there's like a billion filters (actually 4) and two lights because one isn't bright enough. Thank you in advance for your help.
