i just got a striped rapheal catfish, and i was wondering if anyone had any helpful tips on how to keep this beautiful catfish happy and healthy. i know they like to bury in sand, but will fine gravel do it? and do they have any other special needs? some personal advice would be great!

i havent heard of them burying themselves, they usually wedge themselves into crevices in the rock and wood work. feed them after lights out because you will effectively never see most during the daytime.

 Sand is cool if you have it but gravel is just as good. Not a lot to keeping them happy. They are omniverous so feeding is easy. They just need descent water, a 'place' of their own & they're good. Mostly nocturnal, once comfortable, they will make 'daytime' appearances if they're in the mood.
This is "RALPH'S" usual position
