help with coustom 37gallon diamond shape aquarium

Hi
Saw one once done this way built into the wall but was offset at the back. . Fish swimming accross the front would disappear .As I recall this one was aound 200 gallons though.Gave a great optical effect no sides and a great look of depth. The purpose of offsetting the point was to also eliminate the center.
Wouldn't that shape actually be called an irregular pentagon?? gary

thank so on the ittegular pentagon but i figured diamond would do.
so by offset basicly you mean make one of the wall sides longer ? or if you could show me a pic of what you mean that would be cool

Hi
Sorry no pix . The one I remember was a FW planted was built into a wall so only the front was exposed to viewing. The two shorter angled sides were behind the wall so from the viewing side there were no sidewalls .F ish would disappear from view The apex of the angle in back was offset from the center.
The optical effect was that there were no sides and gave a great illusion of depth. because of the angled back. Service was done from the room that housed the tank. Since you're placing yours in a corner you'd have to make the back walls equal??
While this shape did give a great optical effect ,eliminated the sides and flat back, it made for a very odd shaped stand and lighting arragement lol but since in a wall not really a problem.
I thought a "diamond "was an irregular rectangle??
Whatever good luck with your project lol gary

update looks like she wants me to make the stand a little shorter and make the tank 24" tall. i think that would make it about a 48gallon tank and im going to have to rework the plans to support more weight
