I'm in the process of setting up a 10g tank that is going to be a high tech (65w CF and CO2) planted tank.

I have always been drawn to the Olive Nerite and Zebra Nerite snails.

Does anyone have a planted snail only tank? I know that Nerites are algae eating machines and with this being my first high light, CO2 tank I'm sure there will be plenty for them to enjoy!

How many could I keep in a 10g?

Anything special I need to know about housing these type of snails?

I have a couple of dozen in my tank. Remember that although they will lay eggs in fresh water, those are unlikely to hatch out, so what you buy is what you get. Keep the water on the hard side, and offer them extra food – mine prefer cucumber...

extra food will be needed as they do eat alge like theres no tomorrow.

Co2 means low pH.. Kinda harsh on the calcified shells of Nerites species or most snails. Maybe if you can get a lot of lime in the water or aragonite sand for them to graze on... That is a definite maybe
