I noticed these spots on my one discus yesterday.
I've kept many fish, new to discus, and have never seen anything like it before. Maybe I was lucky.
Any ideas what it is and how to cure?
Thanks

It's a blurry picture, but since no one else has replied I'll go out on a limb and say ick.

Are the spots anywhere else on the body?

My first instinct is that it's ich... but it looks kind of odd. For now, I would raise the temperature to 86F (if it's not already there) and add 1 tblsp/10g of table salt and see if it helps anything.

Is the discus acting normal? Eating well? Flashing? Is it the only fish showing symptoms?

It is not ick. The spots are larger then that. Today it is almost gone.
I only noticed it on the one fish. He does eat, but hinds in the back of the tank most of the time.
I have 5 discus in this tank and they are all new fish. I'm thinking I might treat them all with Paragon and Paragon II to make sure they are "clean".
Hopefully what ever it is will be cured by one of the products.

It almost looks like the spots are protrusions from inside the fish. Maybe they have some sort of parasite. This is only an observation. Hopefully you can get an experienced answer from someone else.
