Help with feather duster

so i was christmas shopping and went past a salt water aquarium and caught a glimpse a featherduster. I asked the associate what it is and what its requrements are. He said they are filter feeders and dont require any other additives. I told him that i only have a 5 gallon (10 gallon after christmas) salt tank at the moment and if it will be fine in there and he assured me it would be. I want to get your guys opinion on this. Should i add stuff to my water or if any of you own one what kind of advise can you give me.

i've got 3 in my 55 gal.,all doing fine just living among the fish & other creatures! they do like a small to moderate amount of current, so if you don't have anything, i'd suggest a small powerhead, and not aimed directly at it.

If you are worried about it getting enough food, I would just add a few drop of phytoplankton every other day, should be fine.
