HELP with Filstar XP3!!!!

Way to put those "big guns" to work!:D

On the noise the filter is making. Take it apart and make sure all the baskets are sitting right on each other. I had the same thing and realized I had the ceramic bio things keeping the basket above from not sitting level. If your getting a whoosh of bubbles every now and then this will fix that as well.

:) Hi All!
Just a small update.
I enlarged the holes on the export valve and it stopped the whistling. I opened the canister and let the air out . It stopped some of the noise. Now as soon as I get a monemt I will try TFo's advise.

Thanks so much,

AquaBaby

I took a drill bit and widened the holes on the spray bar and the whistle went away. The filter is not silent, mine does make a small humming noise.

For those that enlarged the holes to stop the whistling, did you have the entire spray bar together (all 5 pieces) or just a few pieces? I never had the whistling but I'm curious anyway. I wonder if the inside of the holes had a furled edge or something that created the whistling?
