Whats up ladies and gents

Well i am inheriting all you need to start up a saltwater reef, well at least i think. The tank, stand, lights, filter, heater, pumps, live rock, live sand and i think a refurgium(i have no idea what that is). Is this basically all i need?

Do i need the refurgium? what is that exactly?

Any help you can give me will be really appreciated

my uncle loved his fish but he was really sick and my aunt let them all die. he left the tank all all the stuff to me in his will and i dont want to let him down.

"...and that was how i got started into this great hobby.."

SW is a bit of a challenge when compared to FW; but luckily, we have a great arctile section here at AC, so , give it a look, i guarantee you'll find all you need.

Good luck!

that article didnt help me at all.

umm ... that link was actually a link to several articles covering all kinds of stuff you would need to know about keeping SW aquariums. At this point really, I would recommend just doing lots of reading and research. If you have any specific questions ask away and I'm sure you'll get replies here.

As far as the basic setup things, sounds like you have it all to get started. Regarding the refugium, here's a good article that talks about them.
