Help with goldfish

Ok I noticed something on my goldfish. It looks like a snail or tick??? It has moved and left little red marks but it is still there. Any idea how to get rid of it.......

netting the fish and physically removing the parasite would be the best option. a picture would help with identification. water changes and a couple doses of melafix will help the red spots to heal without infection.

fish - how many and what kinds?
any new fish added recently? which one(s)?
any plants added recently?

I can almost gaurentee Its a fish lice. Does it have a clear body with 2 little eyes? I had a bad exp. woth those lil *******s they spread like crazy the only effect way to totally get rid of them is carefully removing them from the fish.
