Help with hydrocotyle

Hi Friends !

Just wanted to request for some advice regarding the plant hydrocotyle.

How do I plant it ? I just removed a few leaves from the base of the stem and planted the stem in to the substrate lightly... is this ok and will the plant survive ?

Also some of the leaves seem to be upside down, is ok ? The leaves are not very bright green, they're actually a bit yellowish-light greenish... will they pick up and live ?

Kindly advice a little friends...

Hydrocotyle is very versatile, you can let it float or bury it in the substrate at any point of the plant, I like to fold it in half and add a weight so that it stays down.
The leaves will flip in a few days facing the light source, and from there will grow higher and higher up.
How yellow are the leaves?? if its turning white/yellow then just cut that leaf off and in no time you should new ones.
This plant grows pretty fast, i get 3-5 new leaves every day or 2, so after a month have to fold the plant more to keep it from blocking the light.

I have done as you've adviced... I burried a little base portion in to the substrate and then placed a small piece of drfitwood to weight it down securely...

But wont this crush or harm the plant ? Is it ok for a few leves to remain crushed under the driftwood's weight ?

Aslo I dont have a very great lighting... will this plant grow in my tank ? I have 3 tubes of 30W each and my tank is 4 feet long and about 2 feet tall... its about 200 liters...

I would advise to cut those leaves so they dont rot under the wood.
The lighting is good enough if its how you describe it 90w under a 200liter(55g). Whats the K rating on the bulbs??
