help with lighting

What tank is this going on? From my experience the under cabinet lamps have weak bulbs, but not sure what kind you have. Post a pic. And the 60watt output is good but you will only be using a fraction of that since 18" bulbs only come in i think 15w max

Are you going to use the tank for plants? I ask this because i dont think this will be enough light. What you can do is try getting is a 48" shoplight it will provide more wpg for your tank.

2 of those (15w each) over a 55g would be considered Very Very low light (.5wpg). I had .7wpg and the plants were at a stand still, werent growing at all. See if you can return the undercabinet light or use it under your cabinet 
and try and get a 48" 2 bulb shop light, it should cost in the $20-40 range for a decent fixture.
