Ok, sounds good. If you do have a place to keep him (an already cycled tank) until the cycle completes, that would be your best bet. If not, just keep up with water changes and monitor ammonia and nitrite closely. It will slow the cycle a bit, but will be better for your fish. Otos can be sensitive to even very slight ammonia readings, so it really would be a good idea to move him if you can.
