OK I went to home depot and found a few perfect pieces of pvc pipe that i want to put into my tank, now i wanted it colored but they of course only had white. I purchased some direct to plastic spray paint,
QUESTION IS! if I spray painted all of these and let them dry and adhere for the full 7days would they be ok with the plecos sucking on it? I know that they would spend more time sucking on the inside(WHICH ONLY A FEW I WAS GOING TO PAINT THE INSIDE). If not could I put a sealant over it to be more protective? WHAT CAN I DO?? Help!!! :help::help::help:

For the most part fish and paint do not mix. I would never even consider doing this.

Buy some slate or terracotta caves.

Try a search here on 'Krylon'... I've seen many threads where people use it in their tanks.

If you decide not to paint the PVC, you can always try gluing gravel to the pipe with silcone sealant.

You can always use Rit dye to color the PVC pipe. Just follow the instructions on the box. This will not work for CPVC!
