Lately I've had an unknown snail pop into my vivarium tank that I think "piggy-backed" on either my Micro sword or Anubias nana. I think they are mystery snails but they seem longer and not as round and they yellow mystery snail I have in my 38 gallon.

Here are a few pictures I was able to take, there are at least three, they grow pretty quickly, and move quick aswell.

I have the same snails, i pull out a few each week. I would love to know what they are

Common pond snails. comes over on live plants and a few other things. thats what they look like to me

Yep common "pond scum". I personally like them for the fact that they are voracious eaters and what little waste they produce helps keep my plants supplied. It's also interesting to find all the spots they leave eggs. Oh and kids try to name them, the arguments are funny.

I would be willing to bet that in not too long you will see TONS of these guys creaping around.

I do like the fact they eat algea like crazy, but I dont want them to over run my tank, will they affect my MTS or Rams Horn population?
