Hi guys

Following the never ending debate on cc vs sand, I decided to go with the sand argument and hence spent the day changing my substrate over. I removed all my live rock and clean up crew plus lone hemiofungia (no fish yet thank god) into an esky setup with water from the original tank and a couple of power heads for flow and oxygen. I then added the washed sand to the tank which had remained terribly cloudy ever since (about 6h ago).

Its now midnight in Australia and am unsure if I can go to bed and everything will be ok in my make-shift tank or if I can just add my LR back in with the water still cloudy??

Any suggestions would be much appreciated

You can add the rock while it's still cloudy. It may even take a day for your tank to finally look clear again.

I'm glad you decided to do this now before having fish in there! It would've made it a lot more harder and stressful.

:)

thanks guys, ended up placing the rock randomly around the tank and will replace once i can see it. appreciate the help

as soon as the water is clear again i will post a pic, promise
