I got some plant bulbs from walmart and i want to know if i need to have a heater in the tank or not. Any ideas?

A heater will keep a steady heat. If you don't have one, your tank temp will drop drastically at night when you turn your lights off.

i have no idea. they came in a little packages for 3 bucks. i have 4 bulbs that are about the size of a quarter all the way around and 10 that are about pencil around and bout 1 inch long.

So you are willing to run the risk of having them rot away in your tank? There isn't much we will be able to tell you about what they require without knowing what they are. Are you able to post pics?
