Help

I think TRJAM was trying to bump this thread, about being stuck in a nitrite spike. After being advised they could reseed from filter media or substrate they replied… "unfortunatly, I dont have either…"

If you can't reseed, I think you just have to ride it out. The nitrIte spike tends to last longer than the Ammonia spike. You might want to try some water changes to get yourself back on the card.

Multiple water changes is the key when cycling with fish. Do as many water changes as you humanly can over the course of the cycle, to make things as comfortable for your fish as possible. You can't speed things up if you start from scratch... see if you can get a handful of gravel from an established and above all _healthy_ tank... a friend's tank, or even a _good_ LFS' tank will do.
