I have been battling cyano for wks now with no luck. in my 6 gallon nano all i have are some ghost shrimp and just added a mantis. the tank is covered in caulerpa, but now cyano is growing all over the sand. I know i might need another powerhead for this tank but what else could i do? I do water changes. filter media is carcoal (i was using kent marine phosphate sponge).
Now my 20L is breaking out to but i accidently introduced cyano on a piece of rock. This tank has a HOB refugium. 110watt JEBO lights and two power heads across from each other. so there alot of movement in water. What else can i do. Add chem clean or red slime remover? water test are great.

The only things I can think of are:
-flow: what size powerheads are you using?
-alkalinity: high alkalinity is supposed to inhibit cyano growth
-hermits: scarlets will eat the stuff
