i was wondering if gold fish spawn and if they do how will you notice?

The clody water is probably the bacteria cycling. You need to get a test kit ASAP. Basically wataugachicken summed everything up.

Umm that should have been pumps sorry... The UGF will not work if it does not have about the same draw on both tubes... Draw can be done with water pumps or using air stones (which draws up the water). The problem is if you have water entering one tube and out the other then you are not using the UGF. As stated the UGF is there to draw water through the rocks and it traps waste in the rocks. Bacteria grows in the rocks and that bacteria breaks down the harmful ammonia. That is a really basic explination, if you do a google search on under ground filters you will get a lot of information about them. Some people swear by them others say they are a waste of time.

ya i bought the ugf with a water pump, the ugf box came with small littlle plates which u could connect to make sumthing according to your tank size ,4 hard plastic tubes( 2 big ones and 2 small ones),2 connectors to connect the tubes for tall tanks, 2 air stones with two flexible tubes attached to it then the two pieces to connect to the end of the riser stem.

my problem is there is no manual that came with and the two air stones are jus sitting in the box cuzz i can attach it to the air pump cuz there is only one output and its being used

Yep you will need a Y connection which can be had at any automotive store or you can buy a vavle setup at the fish store to split the one line to two.

Sorry one line comes off of the pump to a Y, from the Y one line goes to one stone adn the other lines goes to the other stone. The stones sit in the tubes as far down as possible. the tank is looking better already buti guess my plecos are not compatible with the gold fish in characteristics, i guess i jus feed the goldfish if there is any leff the plecos will eat and wait for it to grow and die so i could only put gold fish in the tank
and right now i need to buy a test kit, a hose splitter, and some food pellets for my gold fish cause one i have are the flakes i have to soak them to let them sink down in order to let the fish eat

if u have any comments abt wat should i buy or wat kind of stuff like brands should i buy, let me know

Please find a store to take back the pleco instead of just letting it starve to death. If you really must, euthanizing the fish would be better than that, but I'm not advocating you kill a fish just because you don't want it anymore, only b/c a quick death would be much less cruel than starvation

no no no u got me all wrong i was trying to say that u guys said its a bad combination so i will let the nature take its course and i WILL feed the fish
and see what happens but is there a special food for plecos or is the goldfish pellets alright, and dunt worry i wont let it starve on purpose, if i have the ability to feed the fish i always will k.
