"spongy white substance" on the UGF sound more like a major fungus outbreak than ich.
white "stuff" on fish is fungus, white dots or specks is ich.

i jus a bought a fresh water master test kit, a 10 inch python syphon, a valve splitter into 3 more out puts, fungus clear and ich clear

i my ugf is fully operational and ick and fungus clear tablets are dissolved in the tank,fresh water master test kit is not gonna b used soon( waitin for the fungus and ick to clear.

any suggestions on this,

Did you say all your fish are gone?
If so Id say:
take the tank part. wash everything out with hot water and salt. rinse it really well and start over.
I Have never suggested this before but if it was ever a good idea, it is now, IMHO.
You can set up the Undergravel filter the right way, you can take the time to get the water justright before you add fish. That part takes patience. It is called cycling. BUT It will be SO much better because your sick will probably Not get sick and die right away!
Also, while the tank is cycling ( you will need to add amonia and test the water every day) You can spend the time decorating the tank and looking around studying about fish to pick theones you want. And that can fit.

ya thnx right now jus the ugf and the filter are workin everything is out except for the gravel

hey, congrats on your first test. kinda fun, isnt it? :thm:
did you use the liquid type or dip strip type?
I dont understand what is going on in your tank to make it read like that.
I cant think off hand why it would have some ammonia, no nitrites and some nitrates..
any chance you got nitrites and nitrates backwards? I have done that before.
ANyway, Id still say dump the water wash it all and start over. just because you had meds in there, i think, and to get the remnants of anyfungus out. also no ich could survive without fish throughout the whole cycling time.
I am assumming that youd do fishless cycle.

ya mine is the liquid one and yes fish less cycles and oops i tested the water which the fant tail is in righ now( more like an used 6 gallon vacuum drum)

oh ya i was jus worried the "actual" tank water might screw up the test results cuzz it has 60 tea spoons of salt, ich mediaction, fungus medication.
sooooo...
i jus decided not to do it.

i have a question, i bought sum ick and fungus mdeication. If i over dose
the medication by put in two in after two days, when it suppose to be after four days . what will be the damage to the tank

I dont understand what is going on in your tank to make it read like that.

My water comes out of the tap that way, that could be what you're seeing.
