Help!!

I just got rid of ick on my betta two weeks ago, since you have him in a gallon tank I use ick medication the super ick one and I put one drop in everyday until the ick went away took about a week for it to clear up now he is ick free. I have 4 vt 4 ct and next week waiting for hm to come in to go purchase hope this help. I have try the salt thing but like the ick medication better IMO

So I have had this betta since monday...keeping 1 1/2 tsp salt in the tank....the spots are all still there..no sign of change at all. How long should it take for the spots to start disappearing? I know it was pretty quick to happen in my 55g.

Also...is it better to feed one thing or another while the betta is sick? Flake food, betta pellets, bloodworms? Does it even matter?

What's the temperature of the tank?

At 82* the spots fall off around 3-4 days. With my goldfish at 78* it took, if I remember, 5-6 days.

Food, don't think it matters, but if it were me I'd feed him frozen/thawed bloodworms if he'll take them. That's what most bettas eat in the wild (mosquito larva) and it might make him feel better "mentally" -- if you know what I mean. Dunno if that applies to fish as it does to humans.

I cant get the tank temp over 76*, not without a heater. So that is why it is taking so long. I have been feeding him the bloodworms, so I will stick with that. He seems to like them. Thanks for all the help.

Roan, are you saying that bloodworms to bettas is the same as chicken soup to humans? :)
