I have a 55 gallon fw aquarium, super heavily planted, all sorts of plants. Anyways, I just recently had a huge outbreak of black hair algae? Ive looked online and havent found any solutions to my problem. All will end up killing my plants. Any suggestions? tytytyytytytytyt

BBA. if you do a forum search you will find like 90 solutions to the problem. some include:
having the proper proportions of light, ferts, co2.
direct dosing h202 with a syringe
direct dosing excel with a syringe
remove affected leaves

I had hair algae once although mine looked kind of greenish. I did a water change cleaned odd what I could then did a "black out" basically left all the lights off for 2/3 days. If memory serves I think I did this twice and I haven't had an issue since, Good Luck.
