Here are all the tanks I call done and one more

Beautiful....but then again I would expect nothing else:) I LOVE the el Natural tank with no filtration do you have to do WC's on it more often than the others or are the plants enough?

haven't taken any out or added any water in 2 months cold enough that it is not even evaporating...

HHHHMMMM....You know I never really even thought about that, there really isn't a whole lot of reason to do WC's if there is nothing producing ammonia. WOW I learned something THANKS:)

Oh there are snails and about 40 White clouds going in next week... but the whole goal is to not do water changes to let the plants take care of it all so a kind of circle of life thing.... The tank just finished it's cycle like a week ago.

Isn't there a name for that or a lady who pioneered it or something? Why does that ring a bell?

Walstad I think I don't really know I'm running off the way my grandfather taught me back in the day when all they had were air driven filters....:evil_lol:

Just want to see if I can still do it and make it balance.

even if there is no ammonia being produced, Plants and animals need trace elements (electrolytes) in order to be really healthy. This is the main reason why i do water changes.

Those are supposed to come from the feeding and waste produsts of the fish....

I had a tank like this many years ago and it ran for 5 years before I tore it down to move...
