Here is a GREAT looking glass CO2 diffuser !
I've done the DIY co2 gravel vac reactor and other stuff. I'm currently feeding the co2 into the intake of an eheim cannister filter. However, I'm not that happy with this system, and wasn't happy with the gravel vac system as I felt it was too big & bulky. I was in the LFS yesterday and they had this great looking co2 diffuser in their planted display tank, but they don't sell them! So I found it online, take a look, it's very nice:

I like the simplicity of it, and that it is made of glass. Anyone use this thing, and if so, how do you like it?

Thanks,
Randy

I've had one just like that, but made by the KOBE company. They're nice, and diffuse quite well, but as will all glass products, a certain amount of care is required to prevent breakage.

Diffusors are glorified airstones. That looks the same as the Eheim diffusor. Doesnt matter if its glass or plastic it still has a ceramic disk airstone inside it.

Diffusors get clogged with algae and dirt very quickly, but the biggest flaw is in the design itself. No matter how fine a mist of bubbles it is supposed to make, the majority still reach the water surface and evaporate into the air. It has very little contact with the water.

Reactors on the other hand are much more efficient with total dissolved C02. Diffusors require much higher pressure and a lot of wasted gas to reach the same level as the reactor achieves with much lower pressure and less C02. Reactors also keep the C02 much more stable without the fluctuations of diffusors.
A good power reactor is worth every penny.

Yeah, I had a reactor run with a powerhead, and it worked real well. I just didn't like how it looked...
You could hide the reactor with plants. I have to look for mine... :)

Now -- where is that 'power reactor'?
