here is the tank i am getting. i'm picking it up this weekend. what do you think?

i'm going to check out the 70 gal and if it is a piece of junk i will consider the 75g. the only problem with that tank is it is farther away. lol. i don't drive yet and i don't want to inconvinience my parents too much.

I can't really judge on the worth it/not worth it aspect. I just thought I would add my 2 cents worth that what caught my eye in the ad was the "as is" part. It always makes me wonder what the problem is that they will later stand stand behind the " I said AS IS" argument so I would give it a good once over before handing out $$. Have you asked about leaks or if he guarantees it holds water?

Looking at the pic it looks like the tank is pretty scratched up ...Could just be how the flash is hitting it too....just thought I would point it out for ya to look at.

I agree the second tank seems to be a better deal...but it is what you want that matters.

I would agree with this...if the tank is in pristine condition, it might be worth it, but if there are any scratches in the acrylic, I would pass. Its not a super deal.

usually when acrylic is full you can't see most of the scratches...

whenever mine is empty it is cloudy, really scratched with tiny scratches, but when its full you can only see maybe 1 or 2 big scratches that I need to repair...

luckily the whole setup was very cheap, so I don't really care, I'll replace it someday...

I would look around for a Better Glass one. Even try Ebay and look for tanks near you. they sell tanks around here like that but glass for 100
