Basically the problem is the water will become toxic because of all the waste, and they will all die a slow death. That's about it.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
To the OP, you should post it on the MFK forum, the kiddies will surely enjoy and praise it, just as those videos of feeding crap to their precious piranhas.
Well said, TMD. Couldn't have said it better myself.lolWhat's up with all this MFK flaming? Quite a few people from MFK are also members of this forum, including myself. Just because there are some ignorant people on MFK doesn't mean we are all like that. It is unfair to group everyone together like that. Not to mention it is totally unnecessary and irrelevant to this thread. Back on Topic please.
While I personally don't like these severely overstocked tanks, I have to admit the fish seem to be doing fine. I'm sure the owner has to do major water changes daily just to keep them alive. While it doesn't excuse their overstocked tanks, people have to realize that other parts of the world are not as fortunate as we are with space, Japan comes to mind. Their living quarters are tiny and expensive and to take up an 8ft x 2ft footprint for a large tank will probably not happen unless they are very wealthy. That's just my 2 cents.
I don't like the "Asian houses are small" argument so much. I live in a small house in America and don't have room for, or have the money for a huge tank currently. Yet somehow I manage to not have 300 fish per tank...
