Here's another dumb question

Fish Tanks Are Great

They are like inexpensive vactions inside a home, they are like other worlds that catch the eye, they are a drug that relaxes the human mind, they take away those bad thoughts after a bad day at work, they have other beings inside that make you wandar WOW! the universe......... there must be a god.
all humans need them in every room.

I have this 250 gl. tank that occupies the "living room". Now there only 1 couch there.

Then came the 50 gl and was set in the bedroom. After a leak and repair, it was moved to the dinning room. Now it's there.

There is also a 20 that still remains in the bedroom. It occupies only a corner, so no prob there. And last, but no least, there is a 9 gl. in the washing room.
The 2 lattest share QT and horpital tank functions.

Here, here. Some people do pottery to relax, I keep my fish tanks.

I just have 2 10-gallon but I want more! I want a big tank evenutally...like a 55 gallon. Would LOVE to have a bigger one but my house is tiny!! I am brand new to fish keeping but what a wonderful hobby to get into. I'm HOOKED!!!! :dive2:

I have:
a 20 gallon community featuring moonlight gouramis and golden barbs
a 29 gallon with a yellow bellied slider turtle, a very large pleco, a slightly smaller comet and three mollies
and I just got a great 75 gallon Oceanic with a stand and hood for $150 (who-hoo!) that I'll probably move the aforementioned slider pleco and comet into . . .
Also, three dogs and one cat . . . and a VERY forgiving husband!

It truly is a release from the tensions of work and life in general. When days are really bad, I pull up a footstool to the 29 gallon and just watch the moolight gouramis gracefully swirl around the tank while I'm petting one of the dogs or the cat. Blood pressure drops, sanity returns.

just realized i never acually answered your question
I have three tanks
10 gal
35 gal
55 gal
soon to be a 120-150 gal
ive only been in this hobby about 5 months

wife hasnt asken me to get rid of any but she does look at me funny sometimes

I have a 55G in the bedroom that looks great (semi aggressive, planted) a 29G in my computer room (Green Spotted Puffer), a 10G Betta tank in son's room, 20G platys and mollies in the front room (wife's tank) and a 2.5G setup to nurse a couple Dwarf puffers back to health on the bar and a 90G Reef tank that is in the works for the front room (we have a huge front room).

Don't get rid of the tank, you'll be sorry.

Here's the funny part...

My husband is the one that started all this.

I came home one day to find a 25 gallon eclipse tank all set up, even had fish already in it.

Well, he stopped paying attention soon enough and I took over the cleaning and caring, I was hooked.

Then my co-worker got tired of cleanning her 29 gallon and I HELPED take it off her hands (cause I am so nice...lol).

My son wanted his own tank and voila he now has a 10 gallon.

Then my daughters teacher, knowing I like fish, gave me her 10 gallon when the classroom fish died.

For my b-day last February I saw a 55g on sale for 199.00 w/stand and HAD to get it so my hubby bought it for me.

The 25 gallon eclipse I got rid off. Once I knew alittle more about what I was doing I realized I hated that tank. For some reason no matter what I did all the fish would always die and no it was not the cycling.
Even a year after having it set up the only fish to ever survive in it was the pleco.

I should mention aside from above I also have a german shepard that weighs around 90 pds, 3 cats, a 4 yr daughter and a 6 yr old son.

My husband just feels that so many tanks overwhelms the house.

Like someone else said the best relaxation is to put a stool up close to the tank and sat watch them. And seeing all your tanks on this site gives me so many ideas for new tanks. I really want to get a 200g next year.

I wonder if there is a MTS annonamas program available. I only have one 55 gal tank and have only had it for three months and I spend hours in the LFS planning more tanks.
