I have recently got a female Green Terror from a friend. He didn't want here anymore after he found out that their growth slows after breeding, she had spawned already 2 times before i got her. He did keep the last batch and will be getting credit at the local fish store for them. He also kept the male, for he is pretty big. When i got her, i put her in 45gal tall show tank with a male Firemouth. They were in their together for about a week, they started acting really weird the day before yesterday. Yesterday i woke up and found a bunch of tan eggs on some rocks in her cave, she was guarding them pretty aggressively. Today i woke up and most of those eggs are white and she is still guarding them. Are those white eggs fertile? Is it possible for those two kinds of fish to spawn? I also have a Pleco and Rapheal Catfish in there, will they cause problems? I could really use some help with this one, never dealt with spawning fish before. I have always tried to keep the same sexes together or with different types of fish you know what i mean. I don't try to breed cause i know little about it. I think it is happening, so now i must deal with it. HELP! Thanx..............

white eggs are usually not fertile or have been infected with fungus..end result is the same whote eggs don't hatch.
if the eggs are translucent they may hatch.

as to whether these two spawned..it is possible.

btw, some pleco's will eat the eggs.

About half the batch is white and half translucent should i wait another day or so to be sure or remove them now. When i stick my hand in there she aggressively attacks it. Should i net her before i remove them? Don't want to stress her out to much, she has just healed up from her last home. An overstocked 55gal aggressive cichlid tank which she spawned in and defended to almost death.

well, a few bad eggs won't spoil the tank. since she is leaving the bad ones there instead of removing them (which would protect the good eggs) most likely they will all go bad and not hatch. it's also pretty likely that the pleco will sneak over during the night and eat them. unless she is harassing other tankmates very badly, i would just leave the eggs in there to die off or 'disappear' naturally. the effect they have on the water quality is equivalent to 1-2 extra feedings - nothing to worry about. however, this may continue to happen and she may get better about caring for the eggs, in which case you may want to remove the eggs in the future so that you don't get little freakish hybrid babies (although i bet they'd be cute) or separate the adult fish.
