When me and hubby were at WalMart (he had to get oil), we walked by the fishies and there were bristlenose for $3.97, oscars for $6.97 (give or take a few pennies), and cichlids for ranges from $2.97-4.97. And that is why they always sell outmore than the little LFS......Littles aren't that bad in fishie prices...At least we know they are well taken care of......The one me and hubby go to the owner is very well educated on all the fish he has...and that is why we like him....
